CMMer Taras Kreslavskiy has been awarded SEK 35,000,000 over five years from Knut and Alice Wallenberg (KAW) Foundation for the project ‘Endogenous γdTCR ligands: the hidden regulators of γdT cell fate and function’.

By investigating how gamma delta T cells recognise the body’s own molecules, the researchers aim to shed light on a largely unexplored part of the immune system. The findings could create new opportunities for cancer immunotherapy.

Taras’ project is one of 30 research projects that, following evaluations by international experts, have been judged by KAW as innovative and at the forefront of international research.
